This painting is inspired by traditional Chinese artwork that hung in my childhood home. Elizabeth Alice was looking through old photo albums (this was pre-digital photos!) and found a funny crooked snapshot that she captured as a kid. It's a neat perspective and reminded her of this print that used to hang in her childhood home.
She put my own spin on the motif by pairing traditional brush stroke painting with the texture of acrylic paint.
This painting stands on its own, but also looks great paired with its two sisters (No. 527, 528, and 529).
Elizabeth Alice Chinoiserie paintings are a blend of both sides of her heritage. Each work is signed with both her American English signature and red seal.
The canvas measures 14 x 18 inches. The 0.75" deep sides are white. The painting can be displayed framed or unframed.
